You can activate LindormSearch either when you purchase a new Lindorm instance or after an existing instance is running.
Prerequisites
Before you purchase LindormSearch nodes, evaluate the resources your business requires. For guidance, see Plan the cluster capacity.
When planning, consider the following:
Node specification: Choose a specification that matches your workload. For search-heavy applications, select a high specification.
Node count: Determine how many search engine nodes to deploy. For search-heavy applications, purchase at least 2 nodes.
You can modify both the specification and number of nodes after the instance is created.
Activate LindormSearch during instance purchase
Log on to the Lindorm console.
Click Create.
On the purchase page, in the Instance Configuration section, select the Search Engine checkbox, click Edit, and configure the following parameters:
Node Specifications: Select the specification for your search engine nodes.
Nodes: Specify the number of search engine nodes.
For information about other parameters, see Create.
Click Buy Now.
Activate LindormSearch for an existing instance
To search data in wide tables, you can activate LindormSearch after instance purchase. This option requires that LindormTable is already activated for the instance.
In the left-side navigation pane, under Engine Management, click Search Engine, and then click Activate Now.
Select specifications for the LindormSearch nodes and Lindorm Tunnel Service (LTS) nodes.
Click Buy Now.
View activation progress
After payment is complete, the instance enters the Creating state. The instance is ready for use after its state changes to Running.
