Lindorm Tunnel Service (LTS) is a tunnel service developed by Alibaba Cloud for Lindorm. You can use LTS to import and export data, track data changes, and back up and restore data. This topic describes how to purchase the LTS service and log on to the web UI of LTS.
Prerequisites
An Alibaba Cloud account is registered. For more information, see Sign up with Alibaba Cloud.
Purchase methods
You can purchase the LTS services by using two methods. The following table describes the two methods.
Purchase method | Description | Billing | Logon method | References |
Purchase an LTS instance. | LTS instances support all features of LTS. | The billable items and billing rules of the LTS service purchased by using the two methods are the same. | ||
A Lindorm instance is available. Purchase the LTS service on the console. |

Purchase an LTS instance
Log on to the Lindorm console.
On the Instances page, click Create.
NoteYou can also go to the product details page and click Buy Now to create an LTS instance.
Select Lindorm Tunnel Service for Product Type.
Select Subscription or Pay-as-you-go for Billing Method.
NoteA pay-as-you-go instance can be converted into a subscription instance. A subscription instance cannot be converted into a pay-as-you-go instance.
Subscription: If you purchase a subscription instance, you must pay an upfront fee for the instance. For long-term usage, the subscription billing method is more cost-effective than the pay-as-you-go billing method. You are provided with larger discounts for longer subscription periods.
Pay-as-you-go: You are charged for your instance based on the instance specification. Bills are generated on an hourly basis. Fees are automatically deducted from your account. We recommend that you select the pay-as-you-go billing method for short-term use. If you no longer need your pay-as-you-go RDS instance, you can release it to reduce costs.
Configure parameters described in the following table.
Parameter
Description
Regions and zones
Select the region in which you want to create the LTS instance.
NoteAfter the LTS instance is created, the region of the instance cannot be changed. Proceed with caution.
If your application is deployed on an ECS instance, we recommend that you deploy the LTS instance in the region where the ECS instance resides. If the LTS instance and the ECS instance are deployed in different regions, your application cannot communicate with the LTS instance over an internal network.
Zone
Select the zone in which you want to create the LTS instance.
NoteIf your application is deployed on an ECS instance, we recommend that you deploy the LTS instance in the zone where the ECS instance resides to reduce network latency.
Network Type
Specify the type of network where you want to deploy the instance. This parameter can be set only to VPC.
VPC
Select the VPC to which the LTS instance belongs. If no VPC is available, you can create a VPC in the VPC console. For more information, see Create and manage a VPC.
VSwitch
Select the vSwitch to which you want the LTS instance to connect. If no vSwitch is available, you can create a vSwitch in the VPC console. For more information, see Create a vSwitch.
Cluster Name
Specify the name of the instance. The name is used to identify and manage the instance.
Node specification
Select the specification of nodes in the LTS instance.
Nodes
Specify the number of nodes in the LTS instance. Valid values: 3 to 20.
Subscription Length
Specify the subscription period of the LTS instance. This parameter appears only when you create a subscription instance. Valid monthly subscription durations range from one month to six months. Valid yearly subscription durations range from one year to three years.
NoteIf you want to enable auto-renewal for the instance, select Auto-renewal. Make sure that you have sufficient balance in your Alibaba Cloud account before the system automatically renews the instance.
Click Buy Now.
On the Confirm Order page, agree to the terms of service, and then click Pay.
Log on to the web UI of LTS
Before you log on to the web UI of LTS, make sure that the IP address of your client is added to the whitelist of the LTS instance. For more information, see Configure whitelists.
