IoT Platform:Create a product in the IoT Platform console

Procedure

Gateway devices are available only for Exclusive Enterprise Edition instances. You must create a gateway device on an Exclusive Enterprise Edition instance.

1. Log on to the IoT Platform console.

2. On the Overview page, click Purchase Instance on the Purchase Enterprise Edition Instance card.

   On the buy page, select an instance type based on your business requirements and configure other parameters. Set the Form parameter to IoT Platform and the Type parameter to Exclusive.

   By default, IoT Platform assigns an ID to the instance that you purchased. Example: iot-cn-z2q1***.

3. On the Overview page, find the iot-cn-z2q1*** instance and click the instance card.

4. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Devices > Products. On the Product page, click Create Product. On the Create Product page, configure the parameters and click OK.

   The following table describes some parameters. Use the default values for other parameters.

   Parameter	Description
   Product Name	Enter NBProduct1. The name must be the same as the name that you specified on the AEP platform of China Telecom.
   Node Type	Select Directly Connected Device.
   Network Connection Method	Select Wi-Fi.
   Data Type	Select Custom.
   Data Verification Level	Select Weak Verification.

5. Create a Thing Specification Language (TSL) property in the default module of the NBProduct1 product.

   Create a property named water_consumption and set the Identifier parameter to water_consumption. The identifier is the same as the identifier of the property of the NBProduct1 product on the AEP platform of China Telecom. Create another property to perform downstream communication tests on an IoT device. Example: test. The following table describes the sample values that are specified for the parameters of the property. You can also specify custom values for the parameters.

   Parameter	Description
   Feature Name	Enter test.
   Identifier	Enter test.
   Type	Select int32.
   Unit	Select None.
