Internet Shared Bandwidth:Monitoring and alerting

Last Updated:Sep 30, 2024

CloudMonitor can collect metrics from Internet Shared Bandwidth in real time and generate time-series charts in the Internet Shared Bandwidth console. You can troubleshoot issues based on the metrics.

View the monitoring data of Internet Shared Bandwidth instances

Use the Internet Shared Bandwidth console

  1. Log on to the Internet Shared Bandwidth console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance resides.

  3. On the Internet Shared Bandwidth page, find the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance that you want to manage and use one of the following methods to view the monitoring data.

    • View the data on the Internet Shared Bandwidth page

      1. Click the 监控图标 icon in the Monitor column.

      2. In the Network Monitoring panel, view the monitoring data.

    • View the data on the details page of the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance

      1. Click the ID of the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.

      2. On the details page, view the monitoring data on the Monitor tab of the Basic Information tab.

Note
  • You can view Inbound Bandwidth, Outbound Bandwidth, Inbound Data Packets, Outbound Data Packets, and Outbound Bandwidth Utilization in the Internet Shared Bandwidth console. For more information about other metrics, see Metrics for Internet Shared Bandwidth instances.

  • By default, the system displays the monitoring data that is collected within the previous hour. You can select a time range of 3 hours, 6 hours, or 12 hours or specify a custom time range. You can view the data that is collected within at most 14 days of the previous month if you specify a custom time range.

View the performance data in the CloudMonitor console

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Cloud Service Monitoring.

  3. On the Cloud Service Monitoring page, click Internet Shared Bandwidth and then click Share Bandwidth Packages.

  4. In the upper part of the Share Bandwidth Packages page, select the region where your Internet Shared Bandwidth instance is created.

  5. Find the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance that you want to manage and click Monitoring Charts in the Actions column to view the monitoring data.

    Note
    • You can view all metrics for Internet Shared Bandwidth instances in the CloudMonitor console. For more information about the metrics for Internet Shared Bandwidth instances, see Metrics for Internet Shared Bandwidth instances.

    • By default, the system displays the monitoring data that is collected within the previous hour. You can select a time range of 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, or 14 days or specify a custom time range. You can view the data that is collected within at most 30 days if you specify a custom time range.

Create a threshold-triggered alert rule

If you want to monitor the use and status of an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance, you can create a threshold-triggered alert rule. If the metrics of the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance meet specific alert conditions, alerts are triggered and CloudMonitor sends alert notifications. This way, you can identify and handle exceptions at the earliest opportunity.

Note

If you delete an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance, the alert rules for the instance are also deleted from CloudMonitor.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alerts > Alert Rules.

  3. On the Alert Rules page, click Create Alert Rule.

  4. In the Create Alert Rule panel, set the following parameters to create an alert rule and click Confirm.

The following table describes the parameters that are relevant to this topic. For more information about other parameters, see Create an alert rule.

    Parameter

    Description

    Product Type

In this example, Share Bandwidth Packages is selected.

    Resource Scope

Select the scope to which the alert rule applies. Valid values:

    • All Resources: The alert rule applies to all Internet Shared Bandwidth instances that belong to the current Alibaba Cloud account.

    • Application Groups: The alert rule applies to all resources in the specified application group that belongs to the current Alibaba Cloud account. If an application group that contains the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance is already created, you can select this option.

    • Instances: The alert rule applies to the specified Internet Shared Bandwidth instance that belongs to the current Alibaba Cloud account.

If you select Application Groups or Instances, you must select the application group that contains the Internet Shared Bandwidth or select the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance from the Associated Resources drop-down list.

    Rule Description

The content of the alert rule. If a metric meets the specified condition, an alert is triggered. To specify the condition, perform the following steps:

    1. Click Add Rule and select a metric type from the drop-down list.

    2. In the Add Rule Description panel, specify the rule name, metric type, metric, and threshold and alert level.

For more information about the metrics for Internet Shared Bandwidth instances, see Metrics for Internet Shared Bandwidth instances.

    3. Click OK.
