Intelligent Media Services:Personalized call configurations

Last Updated:Aug 06, 2025

You can customize the tone and greetings of an AI agent and enable intelligent interruption. This topic describes how to do so.

Console default configurations

When you create an AI agent in the console, you can set the following configurations for the agent:

  • Greetings: The content that is automatically returned by the agent when a user joins the channel of ApsaraVideo Real-Time Communication (ARTC). Example: "Hello."

  • Voice: The voice of the agent. You can select one in the console.

Overwrite the console configurations when you start the agent

The configurations that you set for an agent in the console are the default configurations. If you want the agent to use different configurations each time it joins a channel, you can configure relevant parameters in the Config field when you call the StartAIAgentInstance operation. The modified configurations overwrite the default console configurations, such as the voice.

Modify the configurations during a call

During a call, you can also modify configurations by calling the UpdateAIAgentInstance - Update the configurations of an AI agent instance operation. Currently, only the following configurations can be set to take effect during a call:

  • Voice

  • Intelligent interruption

  • Greetings

  • Volume

  • Push-to-talk

  • Voiceprint recognition

  • Maximum silence duration for Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR)
