To provide you with better services, we have optimized IDaaS in various aspects, such as technical architecture, service positioning, and billing system. This way, the new version of IDaaS is released that can provide cloud-native, economical, and standardized services for a long period of time.
You can create an IDaaS instance for free in the IDaaS console. You can choose a suitable upgrade solution as needed by referring to the following sections. We are ready to provide support based on your business requirements.
Because this upgrade is significant and extensive, instances cannot be automatically updated from V1.x to the new version. Some features that are not commonly used are not supported by the new version. Automatic migration tools are not supported.
Iteration planning
The following table describes important points in time for the version iteration of IDaaS.

March 2022 | IDaaS V2.0 is released for public preview. You can purchase only instances of the new version on the buy page. By default, you can no longer purchase instances of V1.x in the IDaaS console. However, existing instances of V1.x can be normally used. If you have an existing instance of V1.x and you want to perform some operations on it, refer to the following section of this topic. |
September 2022 | IDaaS V2.0 is officially commercialized, which provides high-quality and stable services and becomes more powerful with constant iterations. |
Gradually stop service | IDaaS Standard Edition V1.x is expected to stop service. IDaaS Dedicated Edition V1.x is not affected. If the features and migration schedule cannot meet your business requirements, feel free to contact us. Before your paid instance officially ceases service, IDaaS team will issue formal notification via SMS, email, and other means, and allow for as long a migration period as possible to ensure minimal disruption to your normal operations. |
Upgrade solutions for the existing instance of V1.x
Existing Free Edition instances of V1.x
IDaaS V2.0 provides more free capabilities. We recommend that you migrate data from IDaaS Free Edition instances of V1.x to IDaaS V2.0 instances at the earliest opportunity.
The validity period of the free version instance of the old version (1. x) of Identity as a Service (IDaaS) EIAM will be adjusted to 3 months, and it will be automatically released after expiration. If you need to use the free version instance, please manually renew it on the console one month before release. Each renewal can last for three months, and the latest renewal is until December 30, 2025. After that, all free version instances will be released. This adjustment only applies to old version free version instances of IDaaS EIAM, and new version instances or old version paid version instances are not affected.
Existing Standard Edition instances of V1.x

Renew an instance of V1.x | Instances of V1.x will be gradually stopped in the future. Currently you can still renew subscriptions for them. We recommend that you migrate data from IDaaS Standard Edition instances of V1.x to IDaaS instances of V2.0 at the earliest opportunity. |
Upgrade an instance of V1.x | You can continue to upgrade the existing instance of V1.x. For example, you can increase the number of accounts from 100 to 300. |
Stop using IDaaS | If the new version cannot meet your business requirements and you no longer want to use IDaaS, submit a ticket to contact IDaaS technical support team. We will assist the after-sales team in calculating the refund based on the remaining time of your instances. |
Services provided by IDaaS Standard Edition instances of V1.x
IDaaS Standard Edition V1.x still ensures the reliability and security of existing services, provides a Service Level Agreement (SLA) guarantee, and offers after-sales support. In addition, security patches and major bug fixes are carried out from time to time.
Existing Dedicated Edition instances of V1.x
The existing Dedicated Edition instances are not affected by this upgrade. You can continue to use the existing Dedicated Edition instances.
