This topic describes how to renew subscription instances using Renewal Management.
Background information
After a subscription instance expires, it is stopped. You must renew the instance to resume its operation. If you do not renew an expired instance within the specified period or if the renewal fails, the associated project resources are released and cannot be recovered.
Manual renewal
For more information about manual renewal rules, see Renew expired resources. To manually renew your instance, perform the following steps:

Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Management Console with your Alibaba Cloud account.

In the navigation pane on the left of the Expenses and Costs page, choose Renewal.

On the Renewal page, go to the Manual Renewal tab. In the Actions column for your instance, click Renew.

On the Renew product page, select a renewal duration, accept the Service Agreement, and then click Buy Now to complete the manual renewal.
Auto-renewal
If you plan to use Hologres instances long-term, you can enable auto-renewal. After this feature is enabled, the system automatically renews your instances before they expire. This prevents resources and data from being released due to a missed renewal.

Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Management Console with your Alibaba Cloud account.

In the navigation pane on the left of the Expenses and Costs page, choose Renewal.

On the Renewal page, go to the Manual Renewal tab. In the Actions column for your instance, click Enable Auto-Renewal.

In the Enable Auto-Renewal dialog box, select a Unified Auto Renewal Cycle and click Enable Auto-Renewal.

(Optional) On the Renewal page, go to the Auto-renewal tab. You can view the auto-renewal details for your instance and perform operations, such as Renew, Modify Auto-Renewal, Do Not Renew, and Enable Manual Renewal.
