To prevent unexpected costs caused by excessive function invocations, each Alibaba Cloud account can run up to 100 instances in each region by default. The actual quota displayed on the General Quotas page in the Quota Center console prevails. You can increase the quota in the Quota Center console.
Function Compute also allows you to specify upper limits for the number of instances of functions to prevent excessive invocations of a single function. This protects backend resources and prevents unexpected costs. For example, you can specify that a maximum of 10 instances can run at the same time. This helps protect resources even if they are maliciously invoked. For more information, see Configure the maximum number of instances.
