ENS:Subscription

Last Updated:Oct 25, 2024

Subscription is a billing method that allows you to use Edge Node Service (ENS) resources only after you pay for them. You can purchase subscription ENS instances to reserve resources for long-term use and save on bills. ENS provides larger savings for longer subscriptions.

Note
  • C refers to the number of vCPUs and G refers to the memory size. For example, 4C8G indicates that the instance has 4 vCPUs and 8 GB memory.

  • For information about the network bandwidth capacity (Gbit/s) and packet forwarding rate (PPS) of different instance types, see Instance types and specifications.

  • For information about the distribution of edge nodes in each billable region, see Node distribution.

The following table describes the prices for instance types in different regions.

Expiration and renewal

Expiration

The following table describes impacts on your subscription resources if you do not renew the resources after they expire.

Resource type

15 to 30 days after the resource expires

More than 30 days after the resource expires

Computing resources (vCPUs and memory)

ENS retains computing resources, including vCPUs and memory. However, you cannot start your instances.

ENS releases your computing resources, including vCPUs and memory.

Elastic Block Storage (EBS) resources

  • ENS retains cloud disks and their data.

  • ENS retains local disks and their data.

  • ENS releases subscription cloud disks and their data.

  • ENS releases local disks.

Public IP addresses

  • ENS retains static public IP addresses.

  • ENS retains associated elastic IP addresses (EIPs).

  • ENS releases static public IP addresses.

  • ENS disassociates EIPs.

Renewal

  • If you are using a free-trial subscription instance or have purchased a subscription instance and want to continue to use the subscription instance after the current subscription duration, you can renew the subscription instance at any time before the instance expires.

  • Subscription instances support manual renewal and auto-renewal. After you enable auto-renewal, the system sets a default auto-renewal cycle, which is the same as the subscription duration the first time you purchase the instance. For example, the default auto-renewal cycle of a monthly subscription instance is one month.

  • For more information, see Renewal guide.
