    You are billed for instances based on the configured computing resources, including vCPUs and memory. Subscription and pay-as-you-go are supported.

    Billing methods

    The following table describes the billing methods.

    Scenario

    Pay-as-you-go

    Post-paid.

    The system generates bills in each billing cycle and deducts fees from your Alibaba Cloud account.

    • Applications have short-term, bursty, variable, or unpredictable workloads.

    • Applications require resources to be created and released on demand.

    Subscription

    Pre-paid.

    You must pay for subscription resources before you can use them.

    • The usage period of resources can be estimated.

    • The resource usage does not frequently fluctuate.

    • Long-term use of resources is required.
