This topic describes how to add transportation information to a lifecycle inventory to calculate the carbon emissions associated with the specified transportation process.
Carbon emissions during the transportation process must be considered for inventory items such as raw materials, consumables, and packaging materials that require purchase. After you configure the basic information about an inventory, click Transportation Info. and select Transportation Needed.
Configure the following parameters that are relevant to the transportation process: Actual transportation weight, Departure Location, Destination, Distance, and Transportation Mode. Select emission impact factor for the transportation process. By default, the system generates a value for the Segment Name parameter, which can be modified.
To add more road sections, click Add Road Section.
