E-MapReduce:View the health status of services and components

You can check whether a service and its components are run as expected based on the health status. The health status is formed based on the check results of multiple health check items. This topic describes how to view the health status and health check history of a service and its components.

Prerequisites

An E-MapReduce (EMR) cluster is created. For more information, see Create a cluster.

Health status description

A service or a component may be in the following states: Good, Warning, Abnormal, Unknown, and Stateless. Different states are indicated by different icons.

Good

The service or component is run as expected.

Warning

The service or component is run as expected. Hidden risks are detected based on the health check items of the service or component. You need to focus on the hidden risks.

Abnormal

The service or component is unavailable. Serious issues are detected based on the health check items of the service or component. You must troubleshoot the issues at the earliest opportunity.

Stateless

A component on which a process is not running has no health status. No health check is performed on a component on which a process is running after an installation process or a manual stop. You do not need to focus on components that meet the preceding conditions.

Unknown

The results of health check items of a component on which a process is running cannot be obtained. If no issue occurs in the business, you do not need to focus on this type of component.

View the health status and health check history of services

View the latest health status of services

  1. Go to the Services tab.

    1. Log on to the EMR console.

    2. In the left-side navigation pane, click EMR on ECS.

    3. In the top navigation bar, select the region where your cluster resides and select a resource group based on your business requirements.

    4. On the EMR on ECS page, find the desired cluster and click Services in the Actions column.

  2. On the Services tab, view the health status of all services that are deployed in your cluster.

View the health check history of a service

  1. On the Services tab, find the desired service and click Status.

  2. In the Service Health Check History section of the Status tab, view the health check history of the current service.

  1. On the Services tab, find the desired service and click Status.

  2. In the Components section of the Status tab, view the latest health status of components.

View the health check history of a component

  1. On the Services tab, find the desired service and click Status.

  2. In the Components section of the Status tab, find the desired component and click the image.png icon on the left of the component name.

  3. Find the desired node on which the component is run and click View Check Items to the right of the health status in the Health Status column.

  4. In the panel that appears, view the health check history of the current component.
