This topic describes the public preview of E-MapReduce (EMR) Workflow.
Time of public preview
The public preview of EMR Workflow started on June 29, 2023, and is expected to end on January 10, 2024. The public preview of EMR Workflow is available for all users. You can log on to the EMR console and choose EMR Studio > Workflow in the left-side navigation pane to go to the Workflow page. Then, you can create a project and perform a test on the Workflow page.
During the public preview, you can use EMR Workflow free of charge. Before you can use EMR Workflow to run workflows, you must associate an EMR cluster with EMR Workflow. Bills are generated for the involved Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances and EMR service if you create an EMR cluster or use an existing EMR cluster. For more information, see Billable items.
Limits
Take note of the following limits during the public preview of EMR Workflow:
One compute unit (CU) is provided free of charge. We recommend that you run no more than 10 concurrent tasks at the same time.
The total size of uploaded files in the resource center cannot exceed 5 GB.
The service level agreement (SLA) is not guaranteed, but the service is not degraded.
