This topic describes how to manage serverless instances in the Data Transmission Service (DTS) console. You can perform the steps described in this topic to pause an instance, view the DU usage, and modify the upper and lower limits on the number of DTS units (DUs).
Prerequisites
A serverless instance is configured. For more information, see Configure a DTS serverless instance.
Usage notes
You cannot change the billing method of a serverless instance.
You cannot upgrade or downgrade the instance class of a serverless instance. You can manually adjust the upper and lower limits on the number of DUs to determine the resource scaling range of the instance class.
The DU usage displayed on the Auto Scaling Metrics for Serverless Instance tab is updated only if the number of DUs reaches the upper limit or if the corresponding resource specifications meet performance requirements after you adjust the upper or lower limit on the number of DUs.
The DU usage data of the latest 30 days is retained.
Procedure
View DU usage
Go to the Data Synchronization Tasks page.
Log on to the Data Management (DMS) console.
In the top navigation bar, click DTS.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
NoteOperations may vary based on the mode and layout of the DMS console. For more information, see Simple mode and Customize the layout and style of the DMS console.
You can also go to the Data Synchronization Tasks page of the new DTS console.
On the right side of Data Synchronization Tasks, select the region in which the data synchronization instance resides.
NoteIf you use the new DTS console, you must select the region in which the data synchronization instance resides in the top navigation bar.
Click the ID of the serverless instance that you want to manage.
NoteThe instances whose Billing Method is Serverless are serverless instances.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Performance Monitoring.
Click the Auto Scaling Metrics for Serverless Instance tab.
Select Query Task and configure Select Time Range to view DU Usage.
Modify the upper and lower limits of DUs

On the Task Management tab, click Modify Auto Scaling Configurations for Serverless Instance.
In the dialog box that appears, modify the values of Lower Limit and Upper Limit.
NoteValid values for the minimum number of DUs are 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32. Valid values for the maximum number of DUs are 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32.
Click OK.
More operations
You can perform other operations on serverless instances in the same way as you perform the operations on regular pay-as-you-go data synchronization instances. For more information, see Instance Management (New Console).
