Data Transmission Service:Downgrade a DTS instance

This topic describes how to downgrade the class of a data synchronization instance in the Data Transmission Service (DTS).

Prerequisites

  • The instance to be downgraded must be a data synchronization instance and in the Incremental Data Synchronization phase.

  • The instance status is Running, Paused, or Failed.

  • The instance must be of a large class or larger.

Usage notes

The supported minimum class for the instance to be downgraded is medium.

Billing

  • Subscription:

    Refund amount = (Daily fees of the instance before the downgrade - Daily fees of the instance after the downgrade) × (Number of days between the date when the subscription expires and the downgrade date)

  • Pay-as-you-go:

    After you downgrade a pay-as-you-go instance, you are charged per hour based on the new instance class.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the DTS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Data Synchronization.

  3. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your DTS instance resides.

  4. Find the data synchronization task, and choose More Options Icon > Downgrade in the Actions column.

  5. Choose a new instance class. Then, read and select the Data Transmission Service (Pay-As-You-Go) Service Terms.
