This topic describes how to configure alert rules for Data Transmission Service (DTS) tasks in the CloudMonitor console. You can configure threshold-based alert rules and event-based alert rules to help detect abnormal data and troubleshoot errors at the earliest opportunity.
Background information
CloudMonitor allows you to monitor DTS tasks based on latency and task status.
Metric | Description | Alert rule type |
Latency | Monitors the latency of DTS tasks. If the latency of a task exceeds the specified threshold, an alert is triggered. Unit: millisecond. | |
Task status | Monitors the status change of DTS tasks. If the status of a task changes to Error or Restore, an alert is triggered. |
Configure a threshold-based alert rule
Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Alert Rules page, click Create Alert Rule.
In the Create Alert Rule panel, configure the parameters. The following table describes the parameters.
Select the type of the DTS tasks that you want to monitor from the Product drop-down list. The following types of DTS tasks are supported:
DTS - Data Migration: data migration task
DTS - Change Tracking: change tracking task
DTS - Data Synchronization: data synchronization task
NoteYou can also enter DTS in the search box to find a DTS task type.
For information about other parameters, see Create an alert rule.
Click Confirm.
Configure an event-based alert rule
Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the System Event page, click the Event-triggered Alert Rules tab.
Click Create Alert Rule.
In the Create/Modify Event-triggered Alert Rule panel, configure parameters for the alert rule. The following table describes the parameters.
Parameter
Description
Alert Rule Name
The name of the alert rule.
Product Type
The Alibaba Cloud service for which you want to trigger alerts. Select Data Transmission Service (DTS) from the drop-down list.
Event Type
The type of the events for which you want to trigger alerts. Keep the default value All Types.
Event Level
The severity level of the events for which you want to trigger alerts. Keep the default value All Levels.
Event Name
The name of the events for which you want to trigger alerts. Select one or more event names from the drop-down list. If a DTS task (data migration task, data synchronization task, or change tracking task) is resumed or encounters an error, an alert is triggered.
NoteFor information about other parameters, see Manage system event-triggered alert rules.
Click Ok.
