Data Transmission Service:Billing of DTS dedicated clusters

Last Updated:Nov 13, 2024

This topic describes the billing method, billable items, and billing rules of Data Transmission Service (DTS) dedicated clusters.

Billing method

The following table describes the billing method of DTS dedicated clusters.

Billing method

Description

Subscription

Subscription is a prepaid billing method. You must pay when you purchase a DTS dedicated cluster. For more information, visit the buy page.

  • You are charged only for the resources of a DTS dedicated cluster. You do not need to pay any fee when you create a DTS instance in a DTS dedicated cluster.

  • DTS dedicated clusters support only the subscription billing method. The pay-as-you-go billing method is not supported.

Billable items and billing rules

The following table describes the billable items and billing rules of DTS dedicated clusters.

Cluster specification fee

DTS dedicated clusters support only the node specifications of 15 DTS units (DUs). You are charged a cluster specification fee based on the subscription billing method.

Note
  • You are charged only for the resources of a DTS dedicated cluster. You do not need to pay any fee when you create a DTS instance in a DTS dedicated cluster.

  • DTS dedicated clusters support only the node specifications of 15 DUs, which indicates that you can configure up to 15 concurrent DTS instances on a single node. If the overcommitment mode is enabled, you can obtain up to 30 DUs of instance configuration resources. For example, if the overcommit ratio is set to 200%, you can configure up to 30 concurrent DTS instances on a single node.

Internet traffic fee

If you configure a data migration task in a DTS dedicated cluster to migrate data from an Alibaba Cloud database to an on-premises database or a database in another cloud, you are charged an Internet traffic fee. For more information about the unit price of Internet traffic, see the Billing of Internet traffic section of this topic.

Important

The Internet traffic fee is calculated based on the actual traffic that is generated. The traffic of less than 1 GB is charged as 1 GB.

Storage fee

By default, each node in a DTS dedicated cluster provides 1 TB of storage space free of charge. If the occupied storage space exceeds 1 TB on a node, you are charged for the excess storage space. For more information about the unit price of storage space, see the Billing of storage space section of this topic. You can select a larger storage capacity for nodes when you purchase a cluster or increase the storage capacity after the cluster is created.

Note

The fee for excess storage space is calculated based on the following formula: Unit price × Excess storage space (GB) in a month. For more information about the unit price of storage space in each region, see the Billing of storage space section of this topic.
