The virtual private cloud (VPC) data channel feature of Data Transmission Service (DTS) is rolled out in canary release on November 29, 2024. This helps you reduce the cost of the connectivity between DTS instance and the network.

Impacts
This change has no impact on DTS instances that are completed or deleted.
If a DTS instance for which a VPC data channel is created by using technical means is still running, the PrivateLink connected to the instance automatically becomes free of charge. Other DTS instances are not affected.
If the Database Type, Access Method, and Instance Region of a database instance to be configured in DTS all meet the requirements of a VPC data channel, and the primary and secondary vSwitches are configured, DTS only supports accessing the database instance over the VPC data channel.
