Change description

From October 21, 2024, DTS will support three new instance classes for data synchronization instances. This provides more options for users who want to use data synchronization instances of higher specifications or improved performance.

If you have questions, submit a ticket or call the service hotline to contact the DTS team for technical support.

Change details

DTS will support the following new instance classes:

  • xlarge for data synchronization instances: The maximum number of records synchronized per second (RPS) is 17,000.

  • 2xlarge for data synchronization instances: The maximum RPS is 34,000.

  • 4xlarge for data synchronization instances: The maximum RPS is 68,000.

Impact

The new instance classes will not affect existing DTS instances.

Terms

  • Instance class: DTS provides different instance classes. The number of data records that can be synchronized by a data synchronization instance varies based on the instance class.

  • Rows per second (RPS): RPS stands for the rows of data that is incrementally synchronized to the destination table per second. For example, if a data synchronization instance incrementally synchronizes 5,000 rows of data to the destination table per second, the RPS of the instance is 5,000.

Usage notes

The actual RPS varies because the performance of a DTS instance varies based on factors such as the network environment, the performance of the source and destination databases, and latency.
