Overview
After you migrate the Domain Name System (DNS) records of your domain names from the DNS servers of third-party DNS service providers to the public authoritative DNS servers of Alibaba Cloud DNS, you can use the DNS traffic analysis feature to collect statistics on DNS requests for the domain names sent to the public authoritative DNS servers. If the number of DNS requests gradually increases, the DNS requests are gradually sent to the public authoritative DNS servers of Alibaba Cloud DNS after migration.
This capability applies to the domain names that are bound to paid Alibaba Cloud DNS instances or the domain names for which the DNS traffic analysis feature is enabled. To view the number of DNS requests, bind desired domain names to paid Alibaba Cloud instances or enable the DNS traffic analysis feature for desired domain names.
Procedure
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.
On the Authoritative Domain Names tab of the Authoritative DNS Resolution page, find the desired domain name and click the line chart icon in the DNS Traffic Analysis column.
On the DNS Traffic Analysis page, click the Statistics of DNS Requests tab to view the number of DNS requests.
Query data based on specific criteria
You can query the number of DNS requests based on the time range or domain name.
Query data by time range
You can select Today, Yesterday, 7 Days, or 15 Days from the drop-down list to query data within the selected time range. You can also query data in a custom time range within the last 90 days.
Query data by domain name
By default, the number of DNS requests for all subdomain names is displayed. You can also filter data to view the number of DNS requests for a specific subdomain name.
