You can use Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) endpoints in the following scenarios to reduce network costs for accessing Direct Mail.
Limits on VPC endpoints
1. To use a VPC endpoint, you must access it from an Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance or a container in the same region. Cross-region access is not supported. 2. A VPC endpoint detects the IP address of your ECS instance or container, not the egress IP address. If you have the IP protection feature enabled, add the IP address of your ECS or container to the whitelist in the Direct Mail console.
