Distinguished Alibaba Cloud users,
Thank you for
your support for DataWorks Data Integration. To provide more comprehensive service systems, improve user experience, and better meet business requirements, Alibaba Cloud makes the following changes to the shared resource group for Data Integration (debugging) of DataWorks Data Integration:
From April 1, 2024, you can no longer configure the shared resource group for Data Integration for a new task. Existing tasks that use the resource group can still run on the resource group. If you want to modify the configurations of an existing task that uses the shared resource group for Data Integration, such as changing the owner of the task, you must also change the shared resource group to a serverless resource group (recommended) or an exclusive resource group for Data Integration. Otherwise, you cannot save the task after the modification.
From September 1, 2024, the shared resource group for Data Integration no longer provides services. Tasks that use the resource group can no longer run.
If your tasks use the shared resource group for Data Integration, we strongly recommend that you change the shared resource group for Data Integration to a serverless resource group (recommended) or an exclusive resource group for Data Integration for the tasks before September 1, 2024. This ensures that your tasks can run as expected.
Serverless resource groups are general-purpose resource groups that are newly released by DataWorks. In addition to the capabilities supported by the shared resource group for Data Integration and an exclusive resource group for Data Integration, this type of resource group also provides more abundant features and higher-quality services to ensure that your synchronization tasks can run in a stable and efficient manner. We recommend that you use this type of resource group. For more information, see DataWorks serverless resource groups.
If you change the shared resource group for Data Integration for your synchronization tasks to a serverless resource group or an exclusive resource group, you must take note of the network connectivity between the serverless resource group and the related data sources, and the network bandwidth after the network connections are established. If network connectivity issues occur or the network bandwidth does not meet your business requirements, the serverless resource group may not be able to connect to the data sources or data is synchronized at a slow speed. If you encounter issues when you change the shared resource group for Data Integration for a task, submit a ticket to contact technical support.
