Database Autonomy Service (DAS) provides the in-depth test feature for ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server. You can use this feature to detect exceptions of important metrics on an ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server instance. Then, you can fix detected exceptions based on your business requirements.
Usage note
The RDS instance that runs SQL Server 2008 R2 with standard SSDs or enhanced SSDs (ESSDs) is not supported.
Feature description
You can use the in-depth test feature to detect exceptions of the following metrics on an ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server instance:
The storage usage
The number of lock blocking sessions and deadlocks
The data of slow SQL queries
The average active sessions
How the instance logs increase
Procedure
- Log on to the DAS console.
- In the left-side navigation pane, click Instance Monitoring.
- On the page that appears, find the database instance that you want to manage and click the instance ID. The instance details page appears.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Performance Optimization > In-depth Test.
On the In-depth Test page, view the detection results of important metrics on the ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server instance.
Click Recollect and click OK. The system starts to collect the data of the ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server instance again. After a few minutes, you can refresh the In-depth Test page to view the updated data.
Click Save as PDF File to save the detection results on the page to your computer as a PDF file.
