Database Autonomy Service:Renewal management

Last Updated:Nov 25, 2025

You can either manually or automatically renew Database Autonomy Service (DAS) Enterprise Edition V1 to extend the subscription. This topic describes how to renew the service.

Background information

DAS Enterprise Edition V1 for the public cloud uses a combined billing method that includes a subscription fee and a pay-as-you-go fee for storage. Renewal extends the subscription period of DAS Enterprise Edition. The storage for SQL Explorer data is pay-as-you-go and does not require renewal. Simply ensure that your Alibaba Cloud account has a sufficient balance.

If DAS Enterprise Edition V1 expires and is not renewed, the system automatically shuts down DAS Enterprise Edition and purges all related data, such as SQL Explorer data and analytical data. For more information, see Billing Details.

Manual renewal

  1. Log on to the Renewal management page in the Console.

  2. On the Manual tab of the Renewal page, find the Database Autonomy Service. Renew services individually or in batches:

    • Single renewal:

      1. In the Actions column, click Renew for the target Database Autonomy Service.

        Note

If the target Database Autonomy Service is on the Auto or Nonrenewal tab, select the service and click Enable Manual Renewal at the bottom of the page. Click OK in the dialog box that appears.

      2. Select a subscription duration and click Buy Now to complete the payment.

    • Batch renewal:

      1. Select the target Database Autonomy Service instances and click Batch Renew.

      2. Select a subscription duration for the services and click Pay to complete your payment.

Auto-renewal

Notes

  • Auto-renewal payments are deducted 9 days before the service expires. Ensure your Alibaba Cloud account has a sufficient balance.

  • If you manually renew the service before the automatic payment date, the system performs the next auto-renewal before the new expiration date.

  • Auto-renewal takes effect the next day. If your service expires the next day, manually renew it to prevent service interruptions. For more information, see Manual renewal.

Enable auto-renewal

  • Enable auto-renewal when you purchase DAS Enterprise Edition.

When you purchase DAS Enterprise Edition, select Auto-renewal.

    Note

If you enable auto-renewal when you purchase DAS Enterprise Edition, the auto-renewal duration is the same as the initial subscription duration. For example, if you purchase DAS Enterprise Edition for six months and enable auto-renewal, the service is automatically renewed for another six months when your subscription is about to expire.

  • Enable auto-renewal after you purchase DAS Enterprise Edition.

    Note

After you enable auto-renewal, the system renews the service based on the selected renewal cycle. For example, if you select a 3-month renewal cycle, you are charged for 3 months at each renewal.
