Cloud Backup:Audit report

Last Updated:Jul 10, 2024

Tracking and audit of backup activities and policy execution help audit enterprise compliance and collect evidences to meet security and compliance requirements for enterprises. This topic describes the audit report feature of Cloud Backup. You can use the feature to check the execution status of backup jobs in a region.

What is an audit report?

Cloud Backup provides the audit report feature to help you generate reports for backup jobs. You can specify a time range. Cloud Backup queries all the completed and partially completed backup jobs within this time range and generates a report for you to download. You are not charged for using this feature.

The report records details such as the backup job ID, status, start time, end time, number of backup files, and backup file traffic for each data source.

Important
  • Reports are valid for 90 days. If a report expires, you must regenerate the report.

  • A report contains all backup jobs that belong to the logon account and the accounts managed by the logon account, including the backups of various data sources.

  • You can download only the reports in the current region. If you want to download reports in another region, switch to the region in the top navigation bar.
