You can use a Cloud Backup client to back up Network File System (NFS) files from your data center. Cloud Backup provides two backup methods: instant backup and scheduled backup. You can select a method based on your requirements.
Immediate backup
If you only perform full backups and do not use a regular backup schedule, follow the steps below:
Log on to the Cloud Backup client.
In the Cloud File Backup client interface, click Create Backup.
On the Basic Settings tab of the Create Backup Job dialog box, configure the parameters. The following table describes the parameters.
Source: Enter the path to the mount target of the NAS file system.
For Backup execution plan, select Back Up Now.
ImportantVolume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) is not supported for NAS backup.
Optional. Click the Bandwidth Throttling tab. Set Work Hours. In the Throttling field, enter the maximum bandwidth that can be used for backup during the specified throttling period. Then, click Add.
NoteThe throttling period is accurate to hours. You can add multiple throttling periods based on your requirements.
To modify a throttling period, find the throttling period, click Delete in the Actions column, and then specify a new throttling period.
The maximum bandwidth must be at least 1 MB/s.
Click Submit.
NoteAfter a backup job is started, you can perform the following operations on the Backup Jobs page:
View the progress of the backup job.
Click Cancel or Retry in the Actions column to cancel or retry the backup job.
If some files fail to be backed up, find the related backup job on the Backup Jobs tab. Click Download in the Errors column to download the error report.
The job list shows backup records from the last six months. To obtain more data, you can export it using Report Audit.
Scheduled backup
If you require scheduled backup, perform the following steps to create a scheduled backup plan:
Log on to the Cloud Backup client. Open a browser, navigate to
http://localhost:8011, and enter the logon password.NoteIf you use a transit server for the backup, replace
localhostwith the IP address of the server or virtual machine that you want to back up.Port 8011 is the default port that you can use to log on to the Cloud Backup client. If port 8011 on the server or virtual machine is occupied by another application, you can specify another port number. For more information, see How can I select a different port as the logon port of a file client?
In the left navigation pane, select Policy.
On the Backup Policies page, click Create Policy.
In the Create Policy dialog box, configure the Name and other parameters.
