Cloud Backup:Where are Cloud Backup client logs stored?

Cloud Backup client logs are stored in different paths depending on the client version, installation method, and operating system. Use the following tables to find the log path for your environment.

Clients installed from the Cloud Backup console for the first time

Clients installed from Security Center (Anti-ransomware)

The Anti-ransomware feature in the Security Center console installs Cloud Backup clients for two protection types: anti-ransomware for databases and anti-ransomware for servers. Each type stores logs in a different path.

Old Cloud Backup client

If your environment uses the older version of the Cloud Backup client, logs are stored in the following paths:

Windows installation log

When a Cloud Backup client is installed on Windows, the system generates an installation log file in the %temp% directory by default. The file name follows a pattern such as Setup Log 2022-08-15 #001.txt.

If the client installation fails, obtain and enter the verification code again to retry. If the installation still fails, send the installation log file to Alibaba Cloud technical support for troubleshooting.
