Last Updated:Jan 12, 2026

Integrate your business system with the Chat App Message Service platform, which enables the platform to communicate with your business system when needed.

Before you begin

Connect to a business system

  1. Log on to the Chat App Message Service console.

  2. In the left navigation pane, choose Channel Management.

    Note

If your account is a service provider, Channel Management is displayed as Customer Management in the navigation pane.

  3. On the Channel Management page, click the Channel ID or Manage for the desired channel.

  4. In the left navigation tree, choose Service Settings.

  5. On the Service Settings page, click Open Business System.

  6. In the dialog box, configure the System Name, API Request URL, Signature, and Remarks.

    Note
    • Chat App Message Service includes the signature token in calls to your API URL for authentication. After entering the API URL, click the refresh icon next to the Signature field to generate one. Each time you click the refresh icon, a new signature is generated.

    • To edit a business system, click the edit icon next to its name. To delete it, click the delete icon.

Configure intents

An intent is a trigger event in your business system that you can call when designing a message template. You must connect to a business system before adding an intent.

  1. On the Service Settings page, in a business system card, click Intent settings.

  2. Click Add and configure the Intent Code, Intent Name, and Default Intent Data in the dialog box.

  3. Click OK.

Activate SMS

To use the SMS fallback feature, you must enable Short Message Service (SMS). To do so, toggle on Activate SMS on the Service Settings page. For more information, see Use SMS fallback.

Configure OTP delivery scheduling

OTP delivery scheduling, available exclusively for WhatsApp channels, allows you to send authentication messages to designated countries and regions using scheduling resources. Messages sent via this feature are charged on a per-message basis.

To enable the feature:

  1. On the Service Settings page, toggle on Enable Scheduling.

  2. In the Countries Using Scheduling section, select the desired countries and regions.

  3. Turn the Use Own Numbers switch on or off:

    • If on, the service uses your own number to send the authentication messages when scheduling resources are unavailable in the selected countries or regions. International authentication rates may apply.

    • If off, sending fails when scheduling resources are unavailable for the selected countries or regions.

  4. Click Save.
