Chat App Message Service:Manage Viber service accounts

This topic describes how to associate a Viber Business Account in the Chat App Message Service console.

Prerequisites

Apply for a Viber service account

  1. Log on to the Chat App Message Service console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Channel management.

  3. On the Channel management page, click the ID of the Viber channel that you want to manage.

  4. In the left-side navigation pane, click Service ID management.

  5. On the Service number management page, click Apply service number.

  6. On the page that appears, configure the parameters as prompted.

    Note
    • You can apply for and associate only one Viber Business Account per Viber channel. If you want to associate multiple Viber Business Accounts, create multiple Viber channels.

    • The service ID is a unique ID generated after a Viber Business Account is registered and approved. The information you provide is submitted to Viber for approval. Make sure that the information is authentic.

Change the destinations to which messages are delivered

If you want to add or delete a destination to which messages are delivered, you can apply to change the destinations.

  1. Click Change destination.

  2. In the dialog box that appears, select destinations to which messages are delivered from the drop-down list.

  3. Click OK. Wait for the change application result. You can view the application progress on the Service number management page.

Suspend a Viber service account

You can suspend the Viber service account that is no longer used.

  1. Click Apply for suspension.

  2. In the dialog box that appears, select a suspension date and specify the reason for suspension.

  3. Click OK. You can view the application progress on the Service number management page.

    Note

    The suspension date is in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Billing will stop from the month following the suspension date. After the 25th day of each month, suspension applications for that month will not be received. The actual suspension time is based on the review and approval time of Viber.
