Chat App Message Service:Catalog management

WhatsApp supports product catalog templates and multi-product message (MPM) templates. Before you create such a template, you need to create a product catalog in the Commerce Manager platform of Meta. This topic describes how to manage catalogs in the Chat App Message Service console.

Prerequisites

Before you send messages by using a product catalog template, you must upload your products to the Commerce Manager platform of Meta and bind the product catalog to your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA). For more information about how to upload products to the Commerce Manager platform of Meta, see Best practices for product catalog templates.

Catalog management

Authorize a product catalog

  1. Log on to the Chat App Message Service console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Channel management.

  3. On the Channel management page, click a channel ID or click Management in the Operation column that corresponds to the desired channel.

  4. On the channel management page, click Catalog list in the left-side navigation pane.

  5. In the Catalog management section, click Authorization.

    1. In the Facebook logon dialog box, enter your Facebook account and password.

    2. Connect the Facebook account to Alibaba Cloud Singapore and click Get started.

    3. Fill in your business information and click Next.

    4. Select your WABA and click Next.

    5. Select the product catalog that you want to authorize and click Next.

    6. Click Finish to complete the authorization.

    After the authorization is complete, the product catalog is displayed on the page. You can perform operations on the product catalog, such as binding, deleting, and unbinding the product catalog, managing products, and synchronizing products.

Synchronize a product catalog

You must complete authorization before you can synchronize a product catalog. After the authorization is complete, click Synchronized catalog to update the product catalog you bound, which includes the catalog name and products in the catalog.

Bind and unbind a product catalog

  1. In the Catalog management section, find the product catalog that you want to bind and click Bound in the Operation column.

  2. In the message for confirming the operation, click OK.

  3. Optional. Unbind the product catalog.

    You can unbind the product catalog at any time. Click Unbind in the Operation column. In the message that appears, click OK.

Delete a product catalog

  1. In the Catalog management section, find the product catalog that you want to delete and click Delete in the Operation column.

  2. Delete the product catalog in the Commerce Manager platform of Meta.

    Note

    To delete the product catalog in the Commerce Manager platform of Meta, you must have the permissions to perform operations in the Commerce Manager platform of Meta. For more information, see Assign permissions in Commerce Manager.

Manage products

  1. In the products management section, click products management to go to the Commerce Manager platform of Meta.

  2. On the page that appears, choose Catalog > Items in the left-side navigation pane.

  3. Manage the products on the Items page.

Synchronize products

Select the product catalog from which you want to synchronize products. In the products management section, click Synchronized products. The system automatically synchronizes the details of the products in the selected product catalog.
