This topic provides answers to some frequently asked questions (FAQ) about the deployment of landing zones.

What do I do if the current logon account does not meet the requirements for a management account?

You can use one of the following methods based on your business requirements:

  • If a resource directory is enabled for the current logon account, we recommend that you fix the failed check items and use the current logon account as a management account.

  • Otherwise, use one of the following methods:

    • Create an Alibaba Cloud account and use the account as a management account. The Alibaba Cloud account inherits the real-name verification information of the current logon account. A resource directory is automatically enabled for the Alibaba Cloud account.

    • Use another Alibaba Cloud account that meets the requirements in your enterprise as a management account.

Note

If you do not fix the failed check items, you can also perform subsequent operations. Specific security risks may exist. We recommend that you fix the failed check items.

Do I need to create the Core folder and Applications folder?

No, you can create the folders based on your business scenario.

We recommend that you create the following folders based on the best practices. If the folders do not exist in the management account, Cloud Governance Center automatically creates the folders. If the folders already exist, Cloud Governance Center does not create the folders.

  • Core: This folder contains member accounts that are used to manage resources.

  • Applications: This folder contains member accounts that are used to perform specific business operations.

What do I do if existing accounts in the resource directory do not meet the requirements for a billing account?

You can resolve the issue based on one of the following scenarios:

  • The management account does not meet the requirements.

    The financial information about the current management account may be incomplete. For example, the invoice information is not specified. To specify the required financial information, go to the Billing Management console.

  • The main financial account cannot join the current resource directory.

    The main financial account of your enterprise is added to another resource directory. You cannot invite the main financial account to join the current resource directory and use the account as a billing account. To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods:

    • Use the main financial account to define financial management relationships between other accounts in another resource directory of your enterprise. You can use this existing resource directory.

    • Disassociate the current management account from the main financial account. Then, specify the management account as a billing account.

    • Select a more suitable Alibaba Cloud account as a billing account.

  • Member accounts do not meet the requirements for a billing account.

    To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods:

    • Member accounts are created in the resource directory. The financial information about the existing member accounts may be incomplete. For example, the invoice information is not specified. To specify the required financial information, go to the Expenses and Costs.

    • No member accounts are available. You can invite an existing Alibaba Cloud account of your enterprise to join the current resource directory, or create a member account.

What do I do if the error message "Your information is incomplete. Complete your information before the operation." is reported?

Use the current account (not a RAM user) to log on to the Account Management console and provide the required account information on the Account Information page.
