You can use keyboard shortcuts for some operations. For more information, see Learn more.

  • Toolbar

    • Undo Previous Step: undoes the previous operation, such as create, move, or delete nodes.

    • Redo: cancels the undo operation.

    • Zoom In: enlarges the display size of the editor.

    • Zoom Out: shrinks the display size of the editor.

    • Reset Zoom Level: restores the display size of the editor to the initial value.

    • Auto Fit: automatically adjusts the display size so that the current editing area fits the window.

    • Thumbnail: shows or hides the thumbnail in Figure 22.

    • Full Screen: displays the editor in full screen mode.

    • Default Mode: the default mode for CADT. In this mode, you can create and modify architecture diagrams and configure related properties.

    • Box Selection: selects multiple elements by dragging a rectangular selection box. You can use this to perform batch operations, such as copy or delete. In Default Mode, press and hold the right mouse button to enter Box Selection mode.

    • View Mode: highlights network information. In this mode, you cannot modify the architecture diagram.

    • Create a line: You can draw a line between nodes. Some lines support property configuration. Double-click a line to modify its properties and styles. For more information, see CADT Line Inflection Point Instructionsmore connection tips.

    • L-shaped line: creates a line with one right-angle inflection point. This line type functions the same as a regular line, with only a visual style difference. If you need more precise line adjustments, see Create CADT line inflection pointsmore line drawing techniques.

    • Curved Line: You can draw curved lines between nodes. This has the same function as Line, but produces a curved line.

    • Create a display connection: In CADT, some connections associate or attach nodes. If you want to display only the relationships between nodes, you can use this mode, which creates connections for display purposes only. For more information, see How to Create Inflection Points for CADT Connectionsmore connection tips.

    • Copy Selected Elements: You can copy all selected elements.

    • Delete Selected Elements: You can delete all selected elements. If you delete elements by mistake, click Undo Previous Step to restore your architecture diagram.

    • Show More Tools: reveals tools that help with layout and common operations.

  • Additional toolbar:

    • Share: You can share your current solution with other users.

    • Search by Name: You can search for and locate nodes by their displayed names.

    • Search by Tag: You can search for and locate nodes by their tag properties.

    • Batch Tagging: You can apply tags to multiple nodes at once. New nodes inherit the configured tags. After configuration, newly added nodes with tag properties automatically receive these tags. This applies only to new resources.

    • Predefined Resource Groups: You can assign a resource group to all nodes on the canvas that do not yet have one. After configuration, newly added nodes with resource group properties automatically receive this group. To replace existing resource groups on nodes, select Overwrite Existing Resource Groups. This replaces all resource groups with the current configuration. This applies only to new resources.

      Note

This option does not appear if the resource group in the top-left corner of the Alibaba Cloud console is not set to All Resource Groups.

    • Batch Edit: You can edit the name and count of selected nodes, if those properties exist. This applies only to new resources.

    • Arrange Horizontally: You can arrange selected nodes in a horizontal row.

    • Arrange Vertically: You can arrange selected nodes in a vertical column.

    • Switch to Official Color Scheme: You can switch to the official color scheme. Custom icon colors are hidden and replaced with default colors.

  • View/Edit: If your solution uses running or monitored resources, CADT enters View Mode by default to prevent accidental changes. To edit or adjust your architecture diagram, switch the editor to Edit Mode.

  • Save: You can save your current edits.

  • Deploy application: You can deploy your current application. For more information, see Deploy application.
