Bastionhost allows you to set the O&M IP address of a host to the public IP address or the private IP address. This topic describes how to change the O&M IP address of a host.
Background information
You can set Host IP Address Type to Public IP Address or Private IP Address:
Public IP Address: Bastionhost connects to the host by using its public IP address.
Private IP Address: Bastionhost connects to the host by using its private IP address.
By default, Bastionhost uses the private IP address to connect to a host if the host has both a private IP address and a public IP address.
Procedure
Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which your bastion host resides.
In the bastion host list, find the bastion host that you want to manage and click Manage.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Hosts page, select the hosts for which you want to change the O&M IP address and choose below the host list.
In the Modify O&M IP Address dialog box, specify Host IP Address Type and click OK.
If you select Public IP Address, Bastionhost connects to the host by using its public IP address.
If you select Private IP Address, Bastionhost connects to the host by using its private IP address.
