Bastionhost:Supported regions

Last Updated:Aug 12, 2024

Regions are geographical locations where Bastionhost data centers are deployed. Regions are divided based on cities where data centers reside. This topic describes the regions that are supported by Bastionhost Basic and Enterprise editions and how to select a region.

How to select a region

Important

When you create or purchase an Alibaba Cloud resource, you must select a region to deploy the resource. You cannot change the region after deployment.

When you select a region, you must take note of the following items.

Item

Description

Geographic location

Services deployed in a region that is geographically closer to your users are more responsive when your users access your services.

We recommend that you select a region based on your requirements for network latency.

Connection between cloud services over an internal network

We recommend that you create a bastion host in the same region as the Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances that you want to manage. If the bastion host and ECS instances reside in different regions, they cannot communicate with each other over an internal network. In this case, you must establish network connections or use the network domain feature of Bastionhost.

Resource price

Select a region based on your budget.

The prices of resources may vary based on the region. For more information, see Billing.
