Application Real-Time Monitoring Service:[Product changes] ARMS Application Monitoring no longer supports Java 7

Last Updated:Sep 14, 2024

In July 2022, Java 7 officially exited Extended Support and Oracle stopped providing new patches, bug fixes, and security issue fixes for Java 7. This marked the end of Java 7's lifecycle. For more information, see Oracle Java SE 7 End of Extended Support in July 2022. Due to compatibility issues, the Application Monitoring sub-service of Application Real-Time Monitoring Service (ARMS) no longer supports Java 7 applications. We recommend that you use a Long-Term Support (LTS) version of Java, such as Java 8, Java 11, or Java 17. For more information, see The art of long-term support and what LTS means for the Java ecosystem. If you are still using Java 7, we recommend that you upgrade your Java version at the earliest opportunity.
