Billing formula

Storage fees = Storage space × Unit price of storage × Storage duration

• When the system calculates the storage fees of an ApsaraMQ for RocketMQ instance, the occupied storage space at the beginning of the 1-hour billing cycle is used.

  For example, to calculate the storage fees of an ApsaraMQ for RocketMQ instance from 05:00 to 06:00 on a specific day, the occupied storage space at 05:00 is used.

• A usage duration of less than 1 hour during a billing cycle is rounded up to 1 hour.

  For example, on a specific day, the storage space of an ApsaraMQ for RocketMQ instance is 5 GB at 05:00 and 0 GB at 05:20. In the billing cycle from 05:00 to 06:00, the storage fees of the instance are calculated by using the following formula: Storage fees = 5 GB × Unit price of storage × 1 hour

Billable items

You are charged storage fees based on actual storage usage and duration.

In ApsaraMQ for RocketMQ, most of the storage space of an instance is used to store messages on the broker. The metadata of the instance, topics, and groups also occupies a small amount of storage space.

Billing method

Pay-as-you-go

You are charged storage fees for an instance based on the pay-as-you-go billing method, regardless of whether the instance is a subscription or pay-as-you-go instance.
