Communication protocols

You can send requests by using the HTTP or HTTPS protocol. We recommend that you send requests over HTTPS to enhance security.

Request methods

You can use the HTTP GET method to send a request. If you use this method, the request parameters must be included in the URL of the request.

Request parameters

The operation to be performed must be specified for each API request, which means that you must specify the Action parameter (such as CreateCluster). Each request for an operation must contain common and operation-specific request parameters.

Character encoding

Requests and responses are encoded in UTF-8.
