Anycast Elastic IP Address (Anycast EIP) supports the pay-by-data-transfer metering method.
If you used Anycast EIP for the first time after 00:00:00 (UTC+8) June 1, 2023, the Internet fees and data transfer fees of Anycast EIP are charged by Cloud Data Transfer (CDT). You must follow the instructions to activate CDT.
If you already used Anycast EIP before 00:00:00 (UTC+8) June 1, 2023, you are charged for using Anycast EIP as described in this topic. To activate CDT, go to the CDT page.
For more information about CDT, see Internet traffic and Inter-region traffic.
Fee
Anycast EIP supports the pay-by-data-transfer metering method. The pay-by-data-transfer metering method allows you to use resources before you pay fees. The fees for pay-by-data-transfer Anycast EIPs are calculated and bills are generated on an hourly basis. You can release a pay-by-data-transfer Anycast EIP as needed. After an Anycast EIP is released, the bill for the current hour is generated within the next hour. Then, the fees are deducted from your account balance. The time when bills are issued is determined by the system.
You are charged configuration fees, Internet data transfer fees, and internal data transfer fees for pay-by-data-transfer Anycast EIPs.
Total fees of a pay-by-data-transfer Anycast EIP = Configuration fee + Internet data transfer fee + Internal data transfer fee
Configuration fee
You are charged a configuration fee for the public IP address that is allocated to your Anycast EIP.
Configuration fee = Instance unit price × Billing duration
The unit price is measured in USD/hour.
The unit price of Anycast EIP is USD 0.012/hour.
NoteThe unit price provided is for reference only. For more information, consult your business manager.
The billing duration is measured in hours.
The billing duration refers to the period of time from when an Anycast EIP is created to when the Anycast EIP is released. If the billing duration in a billing cycle is less than 1 hour, it is rounded up to 1 hour.
Internet data transfer fee
You are charged an Internet data transfer fee for the bandwidth that is used to connect to an Alibaba Cloud access point over the Internet.
Internet data transfer fee = Unit price of Internet data transfer × Amount of data transfer
The Internet data transfer fee is measured in USD/GB.
The unit price of Internet data transfer varies based on the region where an access point is deployed. For more information, see Internet data transfer fee. For more information about the regions that support Anycast EIP access points, see Access point locations.
The amount of data transfer is measured in GB.
In a billing cycle, the direction in which a greater amount of data is transferred is the dominant direction. You are charged for data transfer in the dominant direction. The amount of data transfer refers to the cumulative amount of data transfer in the dominant direction in the billing duration.
Data transfer fee
You are charged an internal data transfer fee for the bandwidth that is used to route traffic from an Alibaba Cloud access point to an origin server.
Internal data transfer fee = Unit price of internal data transfer × Amount of data transfer
The internal data transfer fee is measured in USD/GB.
The amount of data transfer is measured in GB.
In a billing cycle, the direction in which a greater amount of data is transferred is the dominant direction. You are charged for data transfer in the dominant direction. The unit prices for dominant data transfers between different regions are different. For more information, see Billing. The amount of data transfer refers to the cumulative amount of data transfer in the dominant direction in the billing duration.

Billing examples
The following billing example is for reference only. The fees on your bill shall prevail.
You purchased an Anycast EIP at 09:20:00 (UTC+8) to accelerate access from the US (Silicon Valley) region to the Singapore region. By 10:00:00 (UTC+8) on the same day, the amount of inbound data transfer is 10 GB and the amount of outbound data transfer is 6 GB. The billing duration is 1 hour. In this example, the amount of data transfer in the dominant direction is 10 GB.
The fees are calculated by using the following formulas:
Configuration fee = USD 0.012/hour × 1 hour = USD 0.012
Internet data transfer fee = USD 0.078/GB × 10 GB = USD 0.78
Internal data transfer fee = USD 0.866/GB × 10 GB = USD 8.66
Total fees = USD 0.012 + USD 0.78 + USD 8.66 = USD 9.452
