ActionTrail:Delete a multi-account trail

You can delete a multi-account trail when it is no longer needed. Deleting the trail stops it from collecting and delivering new events for all members in the resource directory. It does not delete any events that have already been delivered to your storage destination.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ActionTrail console using the management account of your resource directory or a delegated administrator account for ActionTrail.

    Note
    • Members in your resource directory can view but cannot delete multi-account trails.

    • For more information about how to configure a delegated administrator account, see Manage a delegated administrator account.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Trails.

  3. On the Trails page, find the target trail and click Delete in the Actions column.

  4. In the Delete Trail dialog box, click Confirm.

    Important

    The events that have been delivered to the specified Simple Log Service Logstore or Object Storage Service (OSS) bucket are not deleted. If you want to delete events from a Simple Log Service Logstore or an OSS bucket, see Manage a Logstore and Delete buckets.
