The following GPU models are supported by Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK): NVIDIA T4, NVIDIA P4, NVIDIA P100, NVIDIA A10, and NVIDIA V100. However, ACK does not support shared ECS instance types or vGPU-accelerated ECS instance types that are equipped with these GPU models. This topic describes the GPU-accelerated ECS instance types supported by ACK.
GPU-accelerated ECS instance types supported by ACK
ECS instance family | Supported GPU model |
gn4, GPU-accelerated compute-optimized instance family | NVIDIA M40 |
gn5i, GPU-accelerated compute-optimized instance family | NVIDIA P4 |
gn5, GPU-accelerated compute-optimized instance family | NVIDIA P100 |
gn6e, GPU-accelerated compute-optimized instance family | NVIDIA V100 |
gn6i, GPU-accelerated compute-optimized instance family | NVIDIA T4 |
gn6v, GPU-accelerated compute-optimized instance family | NVIDIA V100 |
gn7i, GPU-accelerated compute-optimized instance family | NVIDIA A10 |
gn7s, GPU-accelerated compute-optimized instance family | NVIDIA A30 |
ebmgn6ia, GPU-accelerated compute-optimized ECS Bare Metal instance family | NVIDIA T4 |
ebmgn6v, GPU-accelerated compute-optimized ECS Bare Metal instance family | NVIDIA V100 |
ebmgn6e, GPU-accelerated compute-optimized ECS Bare Metal instance family | NVIDIA V100 |
ebmgn6i, GPU-accelerated compute-optimized ECS Bare Metal instance family | NVIDIA T4 |
ebmgn7i, GPU-accelerated compute-optimized ECS Bare Metal instance family | NVIDIA A10 |
If you want to add GPU-accelerated nodes to your ACK cluster, you must select instance types only from the preceding instance families.
vGPU-accelerated instances are not supported by ACK. For more information, see Does ACK support vGPU-accelerated instances?
GPU-accelerated instances of the gn7r GPU-accelerated compute-optimized instance family do not support ARM.
