In this video tutorial, we will introduce the three types of ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL series, including Basic Edition (also known as single instance), High-Availability Edition with two nodes and Enterprise Edition with three nodes. And the engine versions support from MySQL 5.5 to MySQL 8.0.
🌟 Basic Edition
Only one node, RO not available
🌟 HA Edition
Primary node for R/W;
Secondary node for DR only, can not be used for read workload;
Add RO for read.
🌟 Enterprise Edition
Similar to HA Edition, but with an extra assurance because of log node.
Quick update: the data synchronization to RO nodes and logger node is from secondary node instead. This design enables the primary node to take full use of available resources to support business.
