Jakarta, 10 December 2024 - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) and Alibaba Cloud have established a strategic partnership, formalized by the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening the digital ecosystem in Indonesia. The partnership was announced during the Alibaba Cloud Global Partner Summit 2024, held on December 3, with the signing conducted separately by Director of Strategic Portfolio Telkom Budi Setyawan Wijaya and President of International Business at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Selina Yuan.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in ongoing collaboration between Telkom and Alibaba Cloud, reflecting consistent business growth over the years. Both parties are dedicated to continuous innovation, developing mutually beneficial business models and revenue streams. Through this partnership, Telkom and Alibaba Cloud aim to achieve their mission and business goals by providing cost-effective solutions, leveraging a robust advanced technology ecosystem for the Indonesian market.
Vice President of Global Strategic Partnership Telkom Candra Kusuma Wardhana, during his speech in the event stated, "This partnership is a testament to our commitment to driving digital transformation in Indonesia. By combining our strengths with Alibaba Cloud, we are confident in our ability to deliver innovative and effective cloud solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
Director of Strategic Portfolio Telkom Budi Setyawan Wijaya, on different occasions expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration saying, "We are confident that this partnership will significantly enhance Telkom's cloud service capabilities and strengthen our position in providing comprehensive digital solutions in Indonesia.”
Telkomsigma, a subsidiary of Telkom, currently serves as a distributor for Alibaba Cloud according to President Director of Telkomsigma Dwi Sulistiani added, "Our collaboration with Alibaba Cloud underscores TelkomGroup's commitment to delivering the best hybrid-cloud ecosystem, offering reliable and trusted AI-supported cloud solutions, especially in today's digital economy era."
Alibaba Cloud, a global cloud service provider with three data centers in Indonesia since 2018, is trusted to bolster Telkom Group's B2B IT services portfolio. President of International Business at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Selina Yuan mentioned, “At Alibaba Cloud, we believe that collaboration is the key to unlocking innovation and driving growth.
