Nuremberg, Germany, November 18, 2024 - In the era of rapid advancements in smart manufacturing, EKS InTec GmbH, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, at Smart Production Solutions Expo in Nuremberg, Germany, to deliver an innovative cloud-based solution to leading manufacturers worldwide. By integrating its digital twin solutions on Alibaba Cloud Workspace Cloud Computer and utilizing the scalability and flexibility of cloud computing, EKS InTec GmbH expands the horizon of digital applications.
EKS InTec GmbH provides digital twin solutions that allow manufacturers to have virtual representations of their production plants, facilitating testing, optimization, employee training as well as supporting operational and management decision-making in the virtual world. This resource-intensive solution runs on high-performance computing systems.
In collaboration with Alibaba Cloud, EKS InTec GmbH has integrated its digital twin solutions into the Alibaba Cloud Workspace. By deploying it as software in the cloud and streaming it to edge devices, customers of EKS InTec GmbH can access their virtual plants from anywhere through any device without upgrading their computer configurations, making it easier for customers to test, deploy, and utilize the solution in their internal training and decision-making processes.
Alibaba Cloud Workspace provides EKS InTec GmbH with a flexible infrastructure that delivers on-demand computing resources. This solution efficiently scales to meet increasing computational needs and releases cloud resources when not in use, thereby minimizing IT investment costs. IT expenses are also reduced by eliminating additional costs for hardware upgrades and maintenance.

Under the collaboration, EKS InTec GmbH will launch the digital twin training solutions on Alibaba Cloud Workspace to customers in Germany and China starting at the end of 2024, and further roll out to more markets in Asia planned for mid-2025.
