Alibaba Upgrades HappyOyster 1.0 with Enhanced Interactivity for Content Creation

Alibaba has released upgrades to HappyOyster 1.0 with richer environmental interactions, expanded player controls, and rewind-able storylines.

Alibaba has released upgrades to HappyOyster 1.0, its real-time interactive world model created by Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) business group, with richer environmental interactions, expanded player controls, and rewind-able storylines. The advanced interactivity of HappyOyster 1.0 unlocks new possibilities for application scenarios such as interactive game development, short-form interactive dramas creation, livestreaming, and cultural tourism innovation.

Adventure Mode, upgraded from the beta version’s “Wandering” feature which lets users build immersive scenes from text and image prompts and then explore them in real time, now supports a wider range of character actions. Beyond basic movement and first- or third-person camera switching, characters created can now sprint, jump, crouch, and attack. They can also interact with objects, such as mounting a horse or entering a vehicle.

The upgrade also brings new features to Directing Mode, which allows users to generate videos up to three minutes long and steer the narrative by injecting commands at any point. A new pause-and-rewind feature lets users jump back to key moments and choose alternate paths, or introduce new prompts to redirect the story entirely.

Real-Time World State

HappyOyster 1.0 operates on continuously updated world states. It responds to inputs instantly while preserving causal consistency and physical stability across subjects, objects, scenes, actions, and audio.

HappyOyster1.0 utilizes video as a medium to demonstrate the simulation of the world. By learning physical laws from large-scale natural video datasets, the model achieves real-time interactivity, long-range consistency, physical realism and long-term audio-video synchronization.

HappyOyster 1.0 is now available at its official website happyoyster.com. The model will soon be available to enterprises through an API on Model Studio, Alibaba’s one-stop, enterprise-grade AI development platform.
