Alibaba Cloud Invited to Exhibit at Echelon

On April 5, 2016, Alibaba Cloud was invited to serve as a main sponsor and deliver a keynote speech at the Echelon expo hosted by E27 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Echelon is an extremely influential expo in the Southeast Asia region. Each year, participants come from many nations in the region. This year, the first stop of the expo was Indonesia, where over 2,000 Indonesian startups and incubators participated.

The Alibaba Cloud ECS product researcher, Mr. Long Jue, delivered a keynote speech, introducing the development trends in cloud computing and the features of Alibaba Cloud products. During the expo, employees from more than 100 Indonesian startups and incubators came to ask questions at the Alibaba Cloud booth.

Alibaba Cloud also visited leading Indonesian e-commerce enterprises, such as Tokopedia and MatahariMall, to conduct in-depth exchanges and explore possibilities for cooperation.

After the expo, Alibaba Cloud organized its first customer meetup in Indonesia, with the help of the locally-famous VC East Venture. Here, they discussed the development of Taobao e-commerce and its technical experiences. Over 100 people attended this meeting, with the majority coming from local startups. They showed a keen interest in Alibaba Cloud products and the global startup program. During this event, many companies held in-depth exchanges with Alibaba Cloud employees and exchanged contact information.
