Overview
Alibaba Cloud supports CloudOps by helping you create and configure multi-cloud and multi-cluster environments for easy and secure application management. This includes Kubernetes cluster provision and network scaling, application data backup strategy, cluster logging and monitoring, multi-cluster management, and SSL certificates.
Auto Provision
Terraform supports major Alibaba Cloud products. You can use Terraform scripts to automatically build cloud infrastructures as you need.
Auto Scaling
You can perform automatic scaling in two dimensions: cluster-level scaling by increasing or reducing the nodes in the node pools, and pod-level scaling based on the CPU/memory metrics, QPS, and latency.
SSL
You can issue, manage, and rotate Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates through cert-manager for applications that need to provide HTTPS access.
Backup Cluster
You can backup Kubernetes resources for disaster recovery by creating a vault, which is a cloud repository in Object Storage Service (OSS) to store backup data.
Logging
You can connect your Alibaba Cloud Log Service with the Application Real-Time Monitoring Service to quickly collect logs of containers in your Kubernetes clusters and monitor the status, events, and user access from a rich selection of out-of-the-box dashboards and discover Kubernetes misconfigurations in real-time.
Monitoring
You can examine your application performance across the containers, pods, and services in a cluster by monitoring the cluster status and the key information on configurations, permissions, and services in Prometheus.
Cross-Region Network Setting
You can set up your network with enterprise-level scalability and global coverage for a multi-cluster cross-region deployment based on the Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN). You can also guarantee stable and high-speed data transmissions by configuring Transit Routers to forward data within the same region or across different regions.
Multi-Cloud Management
You can manage and maintain multi-cloud infrastructures with the Alibaba Cloud Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK) from the Alibaba Cloud console, including cluster registration, multi-cluster logging, monitoring, and release management. You can pull application images and deploy them quickly to other clusters and regions or different cloud environments from other cloud vendors.
