Alibaba Cloud's Mobile Suite unlocks greater efficiency and growth potential

Hong Kong, 17 December, 2024 – Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, has collaborated with The Bank of East Asia, Limited (“BEA”) to upgrade the BEA Mobile app with streamlined access to banking services, digital account opening and elevated user experiences to support future innovations.

Creating a Mobile App with Alibaba Cloud's Mobile Suite

Alibaba Cloud’s Mobile Suite serves as a unified development platform for front-end application design and back-end IT architecture, ensuring a consistent user experience across different touchpoints. The mobile development solution provides the infrastructure for building and managing the mobile app, as well as numerous ready-to-use common service modules to quickly and efficiently build stable and high-quality apps. BEA Mobile was transformed into a dynamic mobile app with upgrades that include:

● Elevated user experience – BEA Mobile’s new electronic know-your-customer (eKYC) solution is powered by Mobile Suite’s anti-deepfake technology. BEA Mobile can now verify and onboard users online anytime and anywhere swiftly and securely. The digital analytics capability of the app has also been enhanced with Alibaba Cloud’s analytical tools, allowing BEA to provide tailored digital contents for customers.

● Accelerated response and stable performance – Alibaba Cloud's advanced cloud-native development framework ensures a smoother, more stable and responsive app, significantly improving the overall users experience.

● A “future-oriented” app – Following the revamp, the app’s foundational infrastructure and technology are optimized for rapid and parallel development of new features, with the capacity to incorporate external partners into its ecosystem. The new app is positioned to support the bank’s mobile-first strategy to support business growth.
