Network Intelligence Service:View events in NIS

Network Intelligence Service (NIS) allows you to query cloud network events and view statistics on these events in a centralized manner. NIS helps you learn about changes in cloud network resources in a timely manner. This way, you can troubleshoot issues that affect your business at your earliest opportunity.

View issue events

Issue events are the exceptions that have impaired business and have been in the In Progress state for seven days.

  1. Log on to the NIS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Event Center.

  3. On the Issue Events tab of the Event Center page, view the information about issue events, including the ID, content, state, occurrence time, and region of each issue event.

    You can also specify the parameters that are described in the following table to view the desired issue event.

    Parameter

    Description

    Time range

    Specify the time range of the issue event data that you want to view. You can retrieve data within the last seven days at most.

    Affected Resource

    Enter the instance ID of the affected resource.

    Content

    Enter the event content.

  4. Find the issue event that you want to view and click Trend of Historical Alerts in the Status column to view the historical alerts. NIS displays historical alerts within the last seven days at most.

  5. Find the issue event that you want to view and click Learn More in the Actions column. The following section describes the information about packet loss due to excess Internet bandwidth usage.

    • Event Information: displays the ID, level, content, state, occurrence time, region, and possibly affected resources of the issue event. You can click the instance ID of the resource to go to the instance details page.

    • Usage Information: displays the bandwidth usage in 1 hour before the occurrence time and predicts the bandwidth usage in the next hour after the occurrence time.

View risk events

Risk events are exceptions that may impair business and have been in the In progress state for seven days.

  1. Log on to the NIS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Event Center.

  3. On the Risk Events tab of the Event Center page, view the information about risk events, including the ID, content, state, and region of each risk event.

    You can also specify the parameters that are described in the following table to view the desired risk event.

    Specify the time range of the risk event data that you want to view. You can retrieve data within the last seven days at most.

    Affected Resource

    Enter the instance ID of the affected resource.

    Content

    Enter the event content.

  4. Find the risk event that you want to view and click Trend of Historical Alerts in the Status column to view the historical alerts. NIS displays historical alerts within the last seven days at most.

  5. Find the risk event that you want to view and click Learn More in the Actions column to view the information about the risk event, including the name, level, and affected resource type and quantity.

View event records

Event records contain the issue events and risk events that occurred within 30 days, including those in the In Progress state and in the Closed state.

  1. Log on to the NIS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Event Center.

  3. On the Event Records tab of the Event Center page, view the event records.

    You can also specify the parameters that are described in the following table to view the desired event record.

    Select the time range of the event record data that you want to view. You can retrieve data within the last 30 days at most.

    Affected Resource

    Enter the instance ID of the affected resource.

    Content

    Enter the event content.

  4. Find the event that you want to view and click Trend of Historical Alerts in the Status column to view the historical alerts. NIS displays historical alerts within the last seven days at most.

  5. Find the event that you want to view and click Learn More in the Actions column to view the details about the event.
