Cloud Enterprise Network:Monitor transit routers

更新時間:Sep 28, 2023

This topic describes how to use CloudMonitor to monitor transit routers. You can create threshold-triggered alert rules to be notified of anomalies in data transmission over transit routers.

Limits

Only Enterprise Edition transit routers support monitoring.

View the monitoring data of a transit router

  1. Log on to the CEN console.

  2. On the Instances page, click the ID of the CEN instance that you want to manage.

  3. On the Basic Settings > Transit Router tab, find the transit router that you want to manage and click the 监控 icon in the Monitoring column.

  4. In the Monitoring panel, view the monitoring data of the transit router.

    • By default, the monitoring data of the last hour is displayed. Each data point represents the average value within the minute.

You can query monitoring data within the last 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 7 days, and 30 days, or a custom time period. You can also set the Interval parameter to query monitoring data that is collected at a specified interval.

    • The monitoring data is dynamically updated.

On the top of the Charts tab, turn on Auto Refresh to enable the system to automatically update the monitoring data every minute.

    Metric

    Description

    Inbound Traffic Rate

The data transfer rate from the network instance to the transit router. Unit: bit/s.

    Outbound Traffic Rate

The data transfer rate from the transit router to the network instance. Unit: bit/s.

    Inbound Packet Rate

The packet forwarding rate from the network instance to the transit router. Unit: pps.

    Outbound Packet Rate

The packet forwarding rate from the transit router to the network instance. Unit: pps.

    Inbound Bytes

The byte transfer rate from the network instance to the transit router. Unit: bytes.

    Outbound Bytes

The byte transfer rate from the transit router to the network instance. Unit: bytes.

    Inbound Packets

The number of packets that the transit router receives from the network instance. Unit: packets.

    Outbound Packets

The number of packets that the transit router sends to the network instance. Unit: packets.

    Note

You can also navigate to the Charts tab to view the monitoring data of the transit router. For more information, see View the monitoring data of transit routers.

Create a threshold-triggered alert rule for a transit router

  1. Log on to the CEN console.

  2. On the Instances page, click the ID of the CEN instance that you want to manage.

  3. On the Basic Settings > Transit Router tab, find the transit router that you want to manage and click Set Alarm in the Monitoring column.

  4. In the Add Rule Description panel, set the parameters and click OK.

The following table describes the parameters that are related to this topic. For more information about how to configure other parameters, see Create an alert rule.

    Parameter

    Description

    Alert Rule

Enter a name for the alert rule.

    Metric Type

Select a metric type for the alert rule. In this example, Single Metric is selected. For more information about how to configure multiple metrics and dynamic thresholds, see Create an alert template.

    • Single Metric

    • Multiple Metrics

    • Dynamic Threshold

    Metric

Select a metric for the alert rule.

For more information about the metrics of transit routers, see View the monitoring data of transit routers.

    Threshold and Alert Level

Set the alert conditions, alert threshold, and alert level of the alert rule.

    Chart Preview

The monitoring data of the selected metric is displayed in the chart.

  5. In the Create Alert Rule panel, verify that the associated resources and rule descriptions are correct, add an alert contact group, and then click Confirm.

For more information, see Create an alert rule.
