This topic describes the billable items, billing methods, expiration, renewal, and refund policies of the HTTPS acceleration gateway feature.
Billable items and billing methods
You are charged for the HTTPS acceleration gateway feature based on the number of HTTPS acceleration gateway instances that you purchase, the gateway resource calculation quantity (GRCQ) quota, and the subscription duration.
The usage of the GRCQ quota is calculated based on the number of website visits and the volume of outbound traffic. If both website visits and outbound traffic are generated within an hour, a GRCQ quota of at least 2 is consumed. If no website visit or outbound traffic is generated within an hour, the GRCQ quota is not consumed.
Number of website visits: A GRCQ quota of 1 is consumed for 150 website visits per hour. If the number of website visits is greater than 0 but no greater than 150 in an hour, a GRCQ quota of 1 is consumed.
Volume of outbound traffic: A GRCQ quota of 1 is consumed for 30 MB of outbound traffic per hour. If the volume of the outbound traffic is greater than 0 MB but no greater than 30 MB in an hour, a GRCQ quota of 1 is consumed.
The default GRCQ quota provided by an HTTPS acceleration gateway instance varies based on the subscription duration of the instance. The following table describes the details. You must estimate the GRCQ quota that you need to purchase based on the number of website visits. If the default GRCQ quota cannot meet your business requirements, you can purchase an additional GRCQ quota. For more information, see Purchase a GRCQ quota.
Subscription duration of an HTTPS acceleration gateway instance | Default GRCQ quota |
1 month | 300 |
3 months | 900 |
6 months | 1,800 |
1 year | 4,000 |
2 years | 8,000 |
3 years | 12,000 |
Pricing
The actual prices on the HTTPS acceleration gateway buy page and the GRCQ quota buy page shall prevail. For more information about how to purchase the HTTPS acceleration gateway feature in the Certificate Management Service console, see Purchase guide for the HTTPS acceleration gateway feature.
Expiration
If your HTTPS acceleration gateway instance expires or the GRCQ quota is exhausted, your website cannot support secure and accelerated access over HTTPS. The search ranking of your website is also affected. To prevent your website from being affected by the expiration of your HTTPS acceleration gateway instance, we recommend that you perform the following operations:
Renew your HTTPS acceleration gateway instance 30 calendar days before the instance expires. For more information, see Renewal.
Purchase a sufficient GRCQ quota before the default GRCQ quota is exhausted or the additional GRCQ quota that you purchase expires. For more information, see Purchase a GRCQ quota.
ImportantBy default, a GRCQ quota is valid for one year.
